Your first video, in three moves

Drop your takes onto the home screen — flubs and all, that's the point.
Make — transcription, cutting, and rendering run on your Mac. A 10-minute shoot takes about a coffee's worth of waiting the first time. You can walk away; the app tells you when it's done (or if it stopped, and why).
Fix anything by deleting words in the editor. The export bakes exactly what you previewed.

Talk to the camera like a director

Say these while filming — CutSaga honors them in code, every time, and prints a receipt of what it heard:

Say	What happens
“take two” (three, four…)	The previous attempt at that line is gone from the cut.
“new take” / “next take” / “restart”	Same — what came before was a false start.
“good take” / “that was the one”	Marks the take you just did as the keeper.
“cut that” / “don't use that”	Drops what you just said.
“subscribe” (near the end)	The end-screen buttons land right on the word.

Quoting a command doesn't trigger it — “tell people to say take two” stays in your video. French works too: «on la refait», «prise deux», «c'est la bonne», «abonnez-vous».

Double-click any word to fix a mistranscription. Select words → ✂ cuts them. Drag ⠿ to reorder soundbites.

Where your files live

Everything stays on your Mac. Old versions of a video can be moved to the macOS Trash in Settings → Storage — the current version and your raw footage are never touched. An optional switch keeps just the last 3 versions automatically.

What you need

A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) and 16 GB of memory is recommended, on macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs work, but transcription and rendering take several times longer — plan for a long coffee. Disk: a 4K project can use 10–30 GB while working; the app warns before starting if space is tight.

When something goes wrong

The episode page shows what stopped and why, in plain language. If you want help: Settings → “Prepare a report file…” makes a text file (app version, stage statuses, recent log lines — never your footage or words) that you can email to hello@cutsaga.com. Nothing ever sends automatically.
